DATA OVEN can build document intake, extraction, validation, storage, notification and reporting systems around your operational process.Common questions
Image quality, transparency and local compression.
Are images uploaded for compression?+
No. Images are decoded and compressed by your browser. DATA OVEN does not receive or store the selected files.
Will PNG transparency be preserved?+
Yes. PNG output remains PNG and keeps transparent pixels. PNG uses lossless browser encoding, so the quality slider may produce a smaller change than it does for JPG or WebP.
Does compression change image dimensions?+
No. This tool keeps the original pixel dimensions and changes the image encoding quality where the format supports it.
Why can a compressed image sometimes be larger?+
Already optimized files may not shrink further when re-encoded. The result clearly shows the actual size change before you download.
